Gender Links, in collaboration with Omnicane, aims to develop a sustainable agriculture initiative that promotes women’s emancipation.
The project seeks to economically empower at least 15 women by equipping them with practical and theoretical skills in agriculture and entrepreneurship.
We are currently seeking a facilitator to lead a 24-session training program (both theoretical and practical) focused on sustainable agriculture and agricultural business development from June to September.
For more information on the terms of reference, please contact us per email at mandemauritius@genderlinks.org.za
read moreThis Mother’s Day, let’s go beyond flowers and cards — let’s share kindness, warmth, and a plate of food.
We’re inviting you to take part in our “Share a Meal for Mother’s Day” campaign — a simple, meaningful way to honour the incredible women who nurture, care, and give so selflessly.
Whether it’s your own mother, a single parent in your community, an elderly neighbour, or a struggling family — your gesture can make someone feel seen, loved, and appreciated.
💡 How to Participate:
Prepare a meal (home-cooked or ordered) and offer it to a mother in need, or someone who may be spending Mother’s Day alone.
Take a photo or video of the moment (with their permission) and post it on the platform or your social media with the hashtag:
#ShareAMealMothersDay
Tag the location and write a short note on what the gesture meant to you or the recipient.
Encourage others to do the same – small acts build big impact.
🌍 Why It Matters:
Too many women, especially mothers in vulnerable situations, go unnoticed. A warm meal may seem small — but it carries a powerful message:
You are loved. You are not forgotten. You matter.
💬 Join the Movement:
📌 Post your act of kindness on the [anAngel Platform] and help spread compassion this Mother’s Day.
Together, let’s fill plates — and hearts.

He was formerly head of department at the Centre Régional Douleur et Soins Somatiques en Santé Mentale et Autisme at EPS Barthélemy Durand, in France, and has dedicated his career to improving access to care for people with mental and cognitive disabilities.
He is one of the founders of ANP3SM (Association Nationale pour la Promotion des Soins Somatiques en Santé Mentale) and has been involved in training caregivers internationally.
Somatic care refers to all physical (or bodily) care given to a person, in connection with his or her general state of health - such as care related to pain, digestive, cardiovascular, neurological disorders and so on.
For people with autism, this care is often neglected or poorly adapted, due to a lack of specific training for healthcare professionals.
Dr Saravane advocates a more humane, integrative approach tailored to their specific needs.
His commitment has earned him several distinctions, including the Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.
Through his research and actions in the field, he has made a profound contribution to the recognition of the importance of somatic care for people with autism, emphasizing that their physical health is as important as their psychological care.
