Participating in the – 25th International Convention on Students' Quality Circle, India southern handicapped association

Info

Description

Every year there are several international disability-related conferences. These conferences allow thousands of participants to network with colleagues and peers around the world, forge partnerships across national and professional boundaries, and enrich their knowledge and understanding of the work they do with disabled people in their home countries. But every year, there are also thousands of people from developing countries who are deprived from these opportunities because most conferences do not take their financial limitations into account, knowing the importance of disabled persons in these types of conferences. At Southern Handicapped Association (SHA) we work for the recognition of the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities to encourage independent living. Therefore, we encourage them to share and learn new practices to enable continuous development of Persons with intellectual disability worldwide.

In this respect, our school has been solely invited to attend the International Convention Council at Lucknow to be held from the 3rd of December 2024 to the 7th of December 2024 at the City Montessori School. We have been requested to bring 7 students with disabilities and 3 accompanying staff. We will be including students having physical disabilities as well in our group. We believe that everyone should get a chance and among our delegates, two students will be on wheelchairs, and other students diagnosed with intellectual disabilities.
