Description

Suicide is a serious public health problem that can have lasting harmful effects on individuals, families, and communities. There are many factors that contribute to suicide.  About 800,000 people die from suicide every year.  In Mauritius, the suicide rate has increased by 9.2% in 2018-2019.  Befrienders Worldwide members seek to help people contemplating suicide.

We are looking for volunteers to join our free awareness programme.

The goal of this programme is to educate volunteers on suicide prevention.
