Donation for Water Fountain

Future Hope is an association founded in 2013. The main objective was to cater for the needs of children who cannot follow the normal school syllabus and who would have been left on their own (unattended) and who would inevitably become “street children”. They are looked after at Future Hope and get daily breakfast and lunch for those who attend the day school (within normal school hours (09h00 – 14h00). Most of these kids come from poor family backgrounds. Future Hope also has four other “learning” centers situated in Sainte Croix, Roches Bois, Cite La Cure & Petite Riviere. These three centers operate after school hours from 15h30 to 17h00 and are run by volunteers who freely spare their time to accompany the children after school hours.

We are looking for water fountains which will be placed on the school premises to offer drinkable water to students and children coming to the school.

Energy: Use right, Future bright

Energy: Use right, Future bright

Every day we consume more energy than we actually think. Many products and appliances that we use lead to inefficiency, energy waste, and cause other negative impacts for our environment and ourselves. This is why we need to apply energy-efficiency in our daily routine.

Energy-efficiency: what does it mean?

The word ‘efficiency’ refers to using less input to achieve the same results. Energy efficiency refers to using less energy to get the same level of service, and in the process, cutting energy bills and reducing pollution. Simply put, it means eliminating energy waste without compromising the output being consumed. For example, using natural light instead of incandescent bulbs to attain the same level of illumination.

Why should we save energy?

Energy efficiency is one of the easiest ways to eliminate energy waste and lower energy costs. It is also one of the most cost-effective ways to combat climate change, help families meet their budgets, and help businesses improve their bottom lines. Saving energy also contributes to purify the air we breathe. Consequently, we are free from developing health complications related to bad-air such as asthma attacks, premature deaths, bronchitis, and cancer.

Interested to become more energy-efficient?

- Click on ‘I’m in’ below to join & participate in this campaign.

What to do after confirming your participation?

– Accomplish any tasks by implementing any of the tips mentioned in the deed "Become Energy Efficient TODAY!" in your daily-life. After doing so, go on your ‘dashboard’, scroll down and you will see ‘deeds’ which shows all the campaigns you have participated in. Select the ‘Energy Efficiency’ campaign, and click on ‘validate’. This notifies us that you have completed your deed for today. Then, you will be rewarded points (kmA) which can later be exchanged for items in our E-shop.

Note: you can participate in this campaign everyday (until its deadline) by logging-in on our platform and validating your deed daily as soon as you complete the tasks, so you can collect more kmAs for yourself! Thank you for participating!
